3rd Annual AKP Rec Ride & Run
On Saturday, August 4th the AKP Foundation will hold the Third Annual Rec. Ride, and Run. The event, starting at Riley Rink in Manchester, Vermont will consist of two bike routes, one running route, and one walking route. Please show up for registration at Riley Rink at least 30-minutes before your start time. Start times are as follows: 50 Mile Ride – 2:00PM; 25 Mile Ride – 3:00PM; 5k Walk – 4:00PM; 5k Run – 4:30PM.
The business or organization that can put together the largest team of participants will receive a prize. All participants in the event will receive an AKP t-shirt and gift bag. If your business is interested in becoming a sponsor, please see our Corporate Sponsorship options form.
By registering for the event, you will be making a small tax-deductible donation to The AKP Foundation, a 501c(3). After the event, you will receive a thank you letter stating your contribution. We encourage you start your own pledgereg.com page upon registering so you can help raise money for young adult cancer survivors and fighters looking to make a comeback from cancer. If you need any guidance on how to start a pledgereg page, please contact Jon at jon@akpfoundation.org. By raising a $1000 or more, you will allow AKP to make an additional grant to someone in need.
During the event there will be many kid friendly activities. While local elementary school teachers are offering their services, children cannot be left without parental supervision. After the event there will be local vendors selling food, live music, and a beer tent.
